Joggers, sweatpants, leggings and shorts built on French terry, fleece and performance jersey. This is a category where the visible fabric matters less than three details buyers routinely leave off a tech pack: the waistband construction, the gusset, and the hem. A jogger's waistband is either a folded self-fabric casing with a drawcord threaded through, or a separate ribbed band joined with elastic — the second costs more and holds its shape far longer. Leggings live or die on the gusset: a diamond or triangular panel at the crotch removes the four-seam intersection that otherwise sits under load every time the wearer squats, and it is the single most common reason cheap leggings split. Flatlock seams throughout keep the garment from chafing under movement, and they cost more machine minutes than an overlock.
